Buffalo
Park was intended to be a showplace at Garfield Beach. One hundred head of
buffalo were ordered from a “Buffalo Jones” of Manitoba. Thirty five
of the herd survived the trip, but the park did not attract the public as was
expected. The animals were later sent to Antelope Island where they have since
flourished.
