MEETING MINUTES

AUGUST 5, 2004

The Pine Canyon Planning Commission Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Mattena

 

Members Attending:

            George Mattena         Debbie Hopper                   

            Gary Walker              Linda Thorpe

            Richard Clark              Mary Dixon

           

1.         Approval of meeting minutes for May 6, 2004:

            Debbie made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Motion seconded by Linda All concurred.

 

2.         AMZ #1006-04 Amendment to chapter 1 of the Zoning Ordinance:

Richard explained that with this amendment we are trying to speed up the process for violation resolution. Richard explained that other counties use a civil process and it works, therefore we would like to use that process in Tooele County. Richard explained that there would be an administrative judge to here these cases. Richard explained that staff had spoken to the county attorney and he is ok with us doing this. Richard gave a brief presentation of what the new verbage would be.

           

Linda made a motion to recommend approval of AMZ #1006-04 Amendment to chapter 1 of the Zoning Ordinance to the county commission. The motion was seconded by Debbie.

3.         AMZ #1007-04 Amendment to chapter 17-5-3.9 Off Premise Outdoor Storage:

Debbie made a motion to table AMZ #1007-04 Amendment to chapter 17-5-3.9 Off   Premise Outdoor Storage so that staff could rewrite some of the amendment. The motion was seconded by Gary. All concurred.              

 

4.         AMGP #1006-04 Amendment to chapter 19 Sensitive Lands Plan:          

Richard gave a brief presentation to the commission on what the verbage change would be in this amendment. Richard explained that the county has had an intern working on this chapter, it is not complete but it is a start. Richard described to the commission some of the different sensitive lands located in the county. Gary asked why the county was doing this. Richard explained to the commission that we need to have this in place ahead of BLM revising its plan in a few months.

 

Debbie made a motion to move AMGP #1006-04 Amendment to chapter 19 Sensitive Lands Plan to the meeting in September and schedule a public hearing. The motion was seconded by Linda. All concurred.

                          

5.         AMS #1001-04 Amendment to Tooele County Code, Title 13 Subdivisions:

Gary made a motion to table AMS #1001-04 Amendment to Tooele County Code, Title 13 Subdivisions. The motion was seconded by Debbie. All concurred                       

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

Linda made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Debbie. All concurred. The Pine Canyon Planning Commission meeting adjourned at7:30 p.m.
