A public meeting was held at the Stockton City Hall on January 22nd 2002. At this meeting, the baseline scenario was presented to the workshop participants. Participants were split into three tables and asked, after seeing the baseline scenario, to show us how they would like Stockton to look in 20 years. On large scale aerial photos, the workshop participants placed game pieces that represent the different land uses that they would like to see in their community. After about an hour, each table had the opportunity to present their ideas to the rest of the group.
The issues identified in Stockton are slightly different than each of the other communities. Stockton is not considered to experience as much growth as the other communities, but does have some growth issues, as well as other issues to be considered for the final plan.
