Growth Habit:
Perennial, erect to 18 inches.

Leaves:
Covered with dense fine hair. Lower leaves - deeply dissected. Upper leaves - bract like.

Stems:
Many branched, covered with dense fine hair.

Flowers:
Terminal, small, rose to pink colored.

Roots:
Taproot.

Seeds:
3 to 4 per head, 1/8 inch long, heads fall readily from plant stems.

Other:
Introduced from eastern Mediterranean.
